After consultation with the city of Mayfield Village, who owns and manages our amazing facilities, we've been asked to adjust the start of our season back a little this Spring. Last Fall the city began a significant maintenance plan on the fields at Parkview. They aerated all of the fields, overseeded and then rolled the turf paying special attention to the goal box areas where the most damage has accumulated.
The weather this Winter has been difficult on the grass, and we don't want to interrupt the progress that has been made. As a result, the Wildcat season will start a week later, but we're hoping to start Soccer Cubs on schedule. The season will still end on June 7th, and the only known impact on the season is the loss of a scheduled make-up day. We still have one available in the calendar, and should we need a second, we will turn one Saturday into a double header day where teams play an early game and then return for a later game. This is much easier than trying to find field space, refs and coordinate schedules for 16+ games at various times during the week.
