To instill in our youth players a sense of enthusiasm, self-confidence, good sportsmanship, and teamwork by emphasizing the game’s basic fundamentals.
Players are split into the following divisions:
In our Wildcat League players will be placed onto teams with a parent volunteer coach. They will receive both a color coordinated jersey along with soccer socks, and will practice once a week before match day on Saturday. We keep score during games and conclude the 7 week regular season with our championship week. Sportsmanship and competition go hand in hand as we provide growth opportunities for young athletes that they cannot find anywhere else.
The season will begin with a Kickoff Night on March 31, when teams will be announced. Practices will start the week of April 6, with the first games taking place on April 11. The final games of the season will be held on June 6 (we will not play beyond this date). Each team will have seven games scheduled during the season, with one make-up date included and one guaranteed game on June 6.
Weather is obviously out of our control, and while we are starting later to help avoid issues, our goal is to provide each team with at least eight games over the course of the season. If necessary, canceling up to two games is considered acceptable. The earliest game start time is 8:00 AM, and start times will vary week to week by team and age group.
Games will be played at Parkview Fields located by Progressive Campus on Rt. 91 or (for the oldest kids) at the Twins Fields near the High School. Teams in the 5/6 and 7/8 divisions will also play games in neighboring East side communities.

This season will look very similar to our Spring season, just hopefully without all of the rain! The Wildcat League and Soccer Cubs are both back with registration open once again, and the introduction of a new platform for the MSC. We're moving away from Sportsengine and into Playmetrics. This is a long awaited change that will make things much easier for everyone going forward.
The biggest (and most noticeable change) is that parents and coaches will no longer need to setup a new system each season to communicate. You'll automatically be grouped into a "team" and for families with multiple players, you'll have just one app to manage everything (including Travel players) for all of your kids in the MSC.
Setting up a new account is very simple, and much like Sportsengine once you enter your players information, it's saved season after season. We've elected not to import players from the past, to try and clean up any data issues, but it really only takes a minute or two for you to set them up on your account.
We're really excited about some of the things this change will offer, but most of all the communication with parents will improve significantly. As the director, I'll be able to message specific teams and divisions to give targeted updates, and the status of games and fields will be easy to communicate clearly and quickly with those who need the information. And as I said, there will be just one app for every kid and season for the foreseeable future.
On the field things will be mostly the same as the spring with no major changes planned. Each division will play (we hope) eight total games over a 10-week period, including a short playoff and championship. We will continue with our Kickoff to start the season where rosters will be unveiled before getting started.
Finally, we are always looking for parents to volunteer as coaches and have continued with the new incentives we started offering in the spring.
Ted Riolo
MSC VP & Wildcat Director
This is an event we started several seasons ago that has had great turnout and is a lot of fun. Everyone playing in the Wildcat League is invited to come and find out who is on their team, who is their coach and to knock off some rust with skill stations led by MSC coaches.
The event will be separated into three groups by age. You’re asked to arrive thirty minutes before your group’s skill session so that you’ll have time to sign in and find your team and coach. Kids should wear clothes and shoes to play soccer in the gym, but should not bring a ball or anything else with them.
Friday, August 22nd
1st - 2nd Grade Boys & Girls: 6:00-6:30 (Arrive at 5:30)
3rd - 4th Grade Boys & Girls: 6:45-7:15 (Arrive at 6:15)
5th - 8th Grade Boys & Girls: 7:30-8:00 (Arrive at 7:00)
The location of this event will be somewhere at Mayfield Highschool (weather dependent) and more details will be provided as it gets closer.
