The travel program offers young athletes an opportunity to play a more competitive level of soccer than what is found in the area recreation programs. The travel teams of our club proudly represent the Mayfield area playing teams from surrounding communities in Northeast Ohio as part of the OHTSL. The travel program aims to further develop its participants as “students of the game” by reinforcing more advanced technical skills, developing tactical awareness, enhancing physical conditioning and focusing on sportsmanship by providing good training opportunities and sound coaching. Our travel program encompasses the following:

• Two 8 game outdoor seasons (Fall & Spring)
• At least two (2) training sessions per week during the outdoor seasons
  • Foot-skills
  • Team practice
• One (1) outdoor tournament
• Indoor off-season training program
• Club registration fees are $400 plus uniform costs (estimate approximately $85 for uniforms)
• Payment plan available

Heading is not allowed in ages U8, U9, U10, and U11. If in the referees opinion a player intentionally heads the ball the result shall be an indirect free kick awarded to the opponent at the spot of the infraction. If the header is in the box, it will result in an indirect free kick just outside of the box.

Travel teams are formed based on birth-year registration.  This is inline with mandates by the U.S. Soccer Federation.  See the chart below to determine which division your child belongs in.
